Mild change, sunning all the days, seldom raining and little storm is the characteristics of California weather. In summer, it is cool in the morning and evening. I like California even though it is said that California has no weather. One of the main reasons is that I like the mild weather. My hometown is Fujian, southeast of China. Every summer, there are several storms. Sometimes the rain was too flowing that the rain water cover the street, which was accompanied with fallen wood sign. The street is full of mess.I hate the storms. It cost government much money to rebuild the public facilities and keep people at home.

Journal 3: Old Fears
Everyone has fears that must be overcome. Fears like a powerful enemy who is difficult to conquer. My biggest enemy is speaking in public. When I give a presentation I will be extremely nervous. After my graduation from university, my mother found a part time job. It was teaching the adult students in the university. It was unbelievable challenge. I was pushed to the platform. With thousands of stone hanging on my hand, I was difficult to write my topic on the blackboard. After the class, I still stood on the platform, I couldn't remember what I said in the class. I felt much relief that that was it. I am better now to stay on the platform.

Journal 2: Getting Around in California
Studying in California, I am confronting two main challenge. One is English, especially the slang. The other one is the transportation. I lived in the Imperia Boulevard when I just came to California. There isn't a straight bus line to CSUF from where I lived. Every morning I took my bike and then put my heavy bike on the bus. And then I took 25 minutes bus to the campus. Totally I spent nearly 1 hour on the way. Unbelievably if driving, it just took 15 minutes. It just like an ant walking with a cat. The public traffic system is like a baby. I want it will grow up. Because the students and senior people here are urge to take a perfect bus line to anywhere they want to be. Undoubtedly, the freeway benefits many people who drive cars. However, with the higher price in gas, some people are forced to drive because of poor public transportation.

Sweet girl
I met my classmate, Evelyne, in the English oral language class last semester. She is an easygoing and active girl, who comes from Taiwan. Because we both speak Mandarin, we became friends and communicated fluently soon.
As an active girl, Evelyne likes taking part in all kinds of school activities, such as the activities in Six Flag Magic mountain , Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach. She is interested in sports, and got her diving license in Taiwan. Recently she wants to find a diving club in orange county and will go diving.
During the oral language class, Evelyne always turned in her homework on time and got a great grade in that class. She has gotten her bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy in Taiwan. After graduating from ALP, she will get her master degree in Geronology. She wants to be working at nursing care after graduation.
About me
I comes from fuzhou, a nice city in southeast of China. When I was a kid, there was a river go across in front of my house, and a park aside the river. I liked sitting quietly and listening to the sound of the wave. I enjoy going to the park and feel the fresh air and the flowers' smell.
When I went to the University, I left my home and lived in the dormitory. In my dormitory, there were six girls. In our leisure time, sports and movies became our mainly entertainment. We often played ping-pong, badminton and went jogging. Sometimes we went to the canteen to watch the games, like soccer games and Olympic games. After four years of life in the university, I got my bachelor degree. And I want to get my master degree in CUSF.
